RIPS (Recording Industry Performance Singapore Pte Ltd) is a collective licensing body. RIPS is empowered to exercise the rights of the record companies with respect to the:
(1) public performance of karaoke and/or music videos,
(2) reproduction of sound recordings by establishments onto a computerised or other storage systems for the purpose of public performance,
(3) reproduction of sound recordings as background music for wedding videography or photo montage,
(4) MP3/MP4 Licence, in which the copyright is owned or controlled by the record companies represented by RIPS to grant the requisite licences.

Prior to 1 July 1998, this licensing function was previously carried out by SPVA (Singapore Phonogram & Videogram Association) now known as RIAS [Recording Industry Association (Singapore)].
